Can Liam “The Hitman” Harrison win a ONE World Champion 

to add to his legendary career, before Hanging and leaving the Gloves in the ring?

In the UK Thai-Boxing Scene, Liam “The Hitman” Harrison became a household name. 

In his Legendary career, The Hitman is an 8x World Champion, and fought, the ‘GOAT’ of Muay Thai, Saenchai PK. Saenchai Muay-Thai Gym, three times. 

According to My Conversation, With the Great Richard Smith, Owner of Badcompany Gym, in Leeds and head Trainer of Liam Harrison, Saenchai Himself said that Liam Harrison “ ..is the strongest westerners he  fought”

The 38-year-old Muay Thai Legend, is also one of the founders of the ‘Hitman Fight League’ in the UK, a Fighting Promotion, that gives a platform to upcoming Thai-Boxer in the UK, to be known in the Combat Sport and a chance to fight in ONE: Championship.

With all of these, on his resume, he is undoubtedly one of the GOATs, who fought in the Thai-Boxing Ring. 

But, there is one thing that, seems to elude ‘The Hitman’, and this is the ONE Championship Belt.

since his arrival at ONE Championship, in 2018, ‘The Hitman already have an outstanding record of 118 bouts, in his legendary fighting career, making him a veteran in the ring, the only thing that changed is the Gloves ounce. 

In his first fight at ONE,  he fought Petchmorakot Petchyindee, at ONE: DESTINY CHAMPION, but sadly he lost, via Knock-out, in the second round, in his following bouts, against Rodlek PK Saenchai, at ONE: Legendary Quest,  the Hitman put a leg-kick fest, but lost via unanimous decision 

In His fight, against Mohammed Bin Mahmoud at ONE: A New Tomorrow, The Hitman, won via decision. 

On His meeting with,  Muangthai P.K.Saenchai at ONE:156, he gave the most iconic comeback knock-out in the history of the promotion Muay-Thai scene.

 Getting knocked out by Muanthai twice in the first round, and returned to Knock Muang Thai three times in the first round, securing the win.

However, on his meeting with Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, Harrison suffered another loss and sustained a nasty Knee injury, causing him to be absent from the sport. 

According to Richard Smith, Harrison already had an injury prior, to his fight, against Nong-O, and when I asked why, Harrison still proceeded to the battle, he said “He thought he could get away with it”

Currently, The Hitman is Already Healed up and ready to fight, but his return to the promotion is still not confirmed. At 38 years of age, ‘The Hitman’ is almost at the end of his career, but speculation and rumours that, ONE is considering matching Haggerty to Harrison, for the ONE show in the UK, there is also an alleged claim, that for Harrison's retirement fight, the Hitman want to fight, the legend Seksan. 

But based on these rumours, the hunt for the ONE Championship Belt is most likely blurred at the moment, and all of these depend on the promotion decision match-ups and Liam Himself. 

But, this does not change Harrison’s Status as one of the GOATs, in the sport, and his resume speaks for itself and can shut critics down, but, it will be a sight to see for UK fans to see The Hitman holding a One Championship Gold.
